How to Enable Root on CM10.2/CM11/CM12/CM12.1/CM13/CM14/CM14.1!

howto-enable-root-cm10.2

For those of you who’ve installed the latest Android 4.3 CyanogenMod 10.2 custom ROM on your Android smartphone and tablet, you may want to know that sometimes you have to enable root to make it work.

Not all builds but some builds installed on couple of my devices turned out to ship without root out of the box.  But there is just a small setting you can adjust to enable root on CM10.2 after installing the ROM.

To fix, simply go to Settings->Developer options (if you don’t have that option go to About phone and hit Build number like 5 times until it says you are a developer), and set Root Access to “Apps and ADB”.

Then close all of your apps and re-open, you should now see Superuser window, problem fixed!

Also works for newer CM11, CM12, CM12.1, CM13, CM14, and CM14.1.
