Here’s a quick comparison I made between the Pixel 3 camera running on my Pixel 2 vs. Pixel 2 camera(Google Oreo Camera running my Pixel 2 XL).
Note: Pixel 2 & Pixel 2 XL both have same cameras. I installed Pixel 3 camera APK on my Pixel 2 and compared with results from my Pixel 2 XL that has the default Pixel 2 Google camera.
This is NOT a test of how real PIxel 3 camera does but how Google has improved the noise reduction processing of the new Pixel 3 camera performs on Pixel 2/Pixel 2 XL. But this proves that Google has improved their low-light processing algorithm for their older Pixel/Pixel 2 smartphones. I’ve also tested older phones like Nexus 6P which brings much bigger improvements then Pixel 2 with MUCH SHARPER images as seen here.
Try these tests yourself and you will get similar results. I only do 100% honest comparisons on my channel but definitely impressed how Google has improved their low-light processing algorithm.
