Xperia Z5 Premium 4K Camera Test! [Hand-Held]

xperia-z5-premium-4k-test

Here’s 4K video camera test using my Xperia Z5 Premium w/ SteadyShot on which is basically software stabilization. All of the shots in this video were hand held except the driving shots which was mounted on my Delkin car mount.

Also, when mounted on my car mount, there still is some shakes but SteadyShot really stabilized the shot near flawless, I feel like it’s better than anything else I’ve tried on my car mount so far.

Check out 1:58 to 2:35, which is playing back at full speed, I was going about 80-85mph on the highway but looks SO SMOOTH, almost like slow mo.

Overall, the stabilization on the Xperia Z5 Premium is impressive for 4K video recording. There are still some issues but I can safely say it’s one of the best for hand held 4K shots. Also, you can turn off SteadyShot when using stabilizers like gimbals which is a cool feature that’s missing with Note 5 or LG V10’s OIS.

The camera controls are kinda crappy as there’s no manual focus (touch to focus) and it’s pain in the ass to switch to 4K mode. But for home videos, this is one of the best cameras I’ve tried.

This feature is also available on the regular Z5 and Z5 Compact.
