Google Pixel 3XL Unboxing! [HighOnAndroid]

Google Pixel 3XL Unboxing! This is the official HighOnAndroid unboxing of Google’s latest Pixel 3XL. Should you get it? I think the price is a bit high but you do get the latest Snapdragon 845 processor, 4GB of RAM, official IP68 rating, wireless charging, and an extra wide-angle front camera. For Pixel 2XL users, this may not be worth the upgrade but for everyone else, this is definitely the best Google phone your money can buy.

LG V40 Unboxing & First Look!

About a week back, LG invited me to their event in San Francisco for LG V40 unboxing and first look at their latest flagship.  The LG V40 is the world’s first smartphone with 5 cameras(each with a different angle) featuring normal, wide-angle, and 2X telephoto camera on the back along with normal and wide-angle cameras on the front.  We have reached an era where more cameras may help consumers ditch their heavy DSLR/mirrorless cameras.

Xiaomi Mi 8 Unboxing!

I recently ordered Xiaomi Mi 8 due to the affordability of this Android smartphone as the official price is $421, which is even cheaper than OnePlus 6 by a full $100.  Now, this is probably the cheapest smartphone you can buy that has the latest Snapdragon 845 processor.   While manufacturers like Samsung are raising their prices steadily every year, it seemed to me that perhaps cheaper alternatives like the Mi 8 could be very good.

OnePlus 6 Unboxing & Review Quickie!

This is unboxing of the all-new OnePlus 6 smartphone & review quickie after using it for about 24-hours.  The OnePlus 6 comes with latest Snapdragon 845 processor, 6 or 8GB of RAM, 64 to 256GB of storage, 6.28-inch AMOLED screen w/ 19:9 ratio, and dual SIM sluts.  After fondling with the new OnePlus 6 for about a day, I think I may have found a great smartphone I can recommend for under $600 that is not a Samsung or LG.

Galaxy S9 Plus Unboxing! [Exynos/Coral Blue]

After waiting patiently on an eBay order that never made it on time, I finally got hands on a Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus through another eBay seller.  And no, this year I am not getting any U.S. Snapdragon models as they have locked bootloaders.(See Which Model is Best for Galaxy S9/S9+ for Root? if you want to root your S9 or S9+)  But I was able to finally get hands on a Coral Blue color which was rather surprising since previous Galaxy phones were literally impossible to get a blue version.

ZTE Axon M Dual Screen Smartphone Unboxing!

The most innovative Android smartphone of the year?  It is definitely the ZTE Axon M, a dual-screen smartphone with two 5.2-inch 1080P screens built for super multi-tasking.   If you have grown to love multi-window feature on phablet phones, you will love the double-screen that is built for multi-tasking without multi-windows.  While Samsung is still working on a new dual-screen phone, ZTE has snatched the first place for dual-screen phones with the introduction of their Axon M.

Galaxy Note 8 Unboxing! [Exynos International Dual-SIM/Gold]

I have been patiently waiting for a good deal on the international model of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 for few months now since Note 8 launch since it offers the better Exynos 8895 processor along with unlocked bootloader, meaning you can easily root and install custom ROMs.  Well, around Black Friday I was able to pick up the SM-N950F/DS dual-SIM international model for about $779. (The price is even lower now at $739, check here)  Certainly, this is a steal considering most U.S. retailers selling them at $950 or higher.

OnePlus 5T Unboxing!

OnePlus has just launched their latest OnePlus 5T, featuring an upgrade 6.01-inch 18:9 aspect ratio screen with a design that eliminates bezels as is the current flaghship trend.  As far as design and feel, OnePlus 5T is definitely up there, feels great in your hands and best of all, the metal back finish keeps nasty, greasy fingerprint marks out.  This is definitely a phone you can use naked and also considering price is half of most flagships, you probably wouldn’t have to worry about dropping it so much.

Pixel 2 XL Unboxing & 24-Hour Review! [Black & White]

Although I ordered my Google Pixel 2 XL right as pre-orders were opened, I had to wait over 2 weeks to get my phone as the Black & White version wasn’t shipping until a few days.  While the wait was rather long, I had plenty time to play with the regular Pixel 2 and the wait was well worth it as I like the Black & White version much more.  The Pixel 2 XL is the bigger brother of Pixel 2 and I am really digging it, especially the curved design.
