Can’t decide between the Nexus 6P or Nexus 5X? We pretty know everything about the Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X already so let’s go ahead and do a quick comparison of the two latest Google flagship smartphones.
Today, we will look at the specs and price of Nexus 6P versus the Moto X Pure!
First, both Nexus 6P and Moto X Pure have 1440P 2560×1440 resolution screens. The Nexus 6P will use AMOLED technology similar to the Note 5 while the Moto X Pure has an IPS TFT LCD screen. In terms of viewing angles, the AMOLED screens are much better and have brighter screens. Also, AMOLED screens are much more energy efficient so the Nexus 6P should have a much better screen. In real life usage, it’s probably not a huge deal but Nexus 6P wins in display category.
The Nexus 6P presentation slides were leaked this morning and here’s my thoughts on the new device.
Moto X Pure is a new phablet device from Motorola with the same size class as the Galaxy Note 5. It’s certainly not for those of you who want a small phone but for those of you who want to enjoy a large 5.7-inch screen for easier viewing and typing. So bear that in mind before deciding to get the Moto X Pure (or the international version Moto X Style which is identical in hardware specs).
Here’s 4K cinematic video camera test with my new Moto X Pure (same as Moto X Style). It has no manual focus for video recording. The auto focus is not bad but fluctuates and gets confused, something that could have been eliminated with manual focus. But the video stability is EXCELLENT over phones with OIS as it does not have wavering effect like the Note 5, G4, OnePlus Two. If Motorola can add manual focus, this could be the best 4K video camera on the market.
For those of you who haven’t heard, the latest Motorola Moto X Pure Android smartphone is an “all-carrier” phone that has GSM and CDMA radios to support all AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, and Verizon networks. Not only that, the Moto X Pure also has 4G LTE bands for all carriers, meaning you will be able to use it on any U.S. carrier.
For those of you who want to take advantage of Galaxy Note 5 and S6 Edge Plus new “fast” wireless charging feature, you will need to get a Fast Charge Wireless Charger. Now, you will also need to pair it with a fast charge adapter (9V 1.65A) otherwise it won’t actually fast charge wirelessly. Also, this charge is backward-compatible with normal wireless charging and will auto-switch if you are using a smartphone that doesn’t support fast wireless charging (like Galaxy S6).
Xiaomi has been selling their budget device over in China like hotcakes literally. Well, I had to get hands on one of their newer Redmi Note 2 Android smartphones to test it out.
I felt like Motorola has always been a step behind with their Moto X line in the last two years. Motorola introduced Moto X Pure this year though and I think they have done a terrific job of making a “flagship killer” at a price point that kills other flagships.
