The other day I realized that the best way to test a smartphone camera is to really try it out in real life. So, here’s my first VLOG using LG V20 camera, using the 4 different camera angles on the phone. Also, I’ve included some slow-motion footage using the slow-motion mode and also speeding up photos taken with the burst mode.

I got to play with the LG V20 for a full day and I have no doubt in my mind this maybe one of the best “phablets” of the year, especially if you are looking for a big smartphone that can do it all.
No, it’s not waterproof but it doesn’t blow up.
In my in-depth unboxing, I go through many of my favorite features about the LG V20 after using it for about a day. To sum it up, I really dig the wide-angle camera setup for both front and back camera. The LG V20 has two cameras on the back and one camera on the front that can also do wide-angle. Not everyone needs this feature but for those of you who take a lot of selfies or like to take photos in small spaces, the wide-angle is a killer feature.
Here’s an extreme test of Galaxy Note 7’s IP68 waterproof design, we put the phone in 100+ degree of hot spa water for an HOUR! Will it blow up?
Many waterproof tests have been done in the past and the Galaxy S7 Edge (which has same waterproof design as Note 7) lived up to freeze tests, but there are no previous waterproof tests involving high temperatures with long hours in water.
If you guys want to get all of the new software features of Galaxy Note 7 on your rooted Note 3, you can easily do it with the latest DarkLord ROM which has nearly all Note 7 features working, this is a full Note 7 ported ROM for the Note 3. Best of all, DarkLord ROM brings you manual mode on your Note 3 camera. Yes, a fully-working Note 7 camera on a Galaxy Note 3! (The resolutions are hardware-limited but everything else works!)
It’s been almost 5 years since I broke the screen on my Galaxy S3. Ever since then, I have used a case on all of my smartphones and have never cracked the screen. Well, a few weeks back I forgot to put the case back on while using my Honor 8 and dropped it. Even though it was a very small 6-inch drop, it fell face down into one of stones in my backyard, causing the screen to crack.
In our latest underwater test, we took the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 through various underwater tests including unlocking phone, using IRIS underwater, browsing the web, typing underwater, watching YouTube videos under water, playing games, recording videos underwater, taking selfies underwater, and using different apps underwater. The result was pretty amazing.
For those of you who want to root your Samsung Galaxy Note 7, currently you can root Exynos-based models of Galaxy Note 7 including the SM-N930F, SM-N930FD, and Korean SM-N930K/S/L. U.S. models based on Qualcomm are not yet supported such as AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, or Verizon as they have locked bootloaders. If you absolutely want root on your Note 7 and you have AT&T, T-Mobile, or any other GSM carrier in the U.S., you can grab the SM-N930F or SM-N930FD model, which work flawless on GSM networks like AT&T or T-Mobile. (You can grab SM-N930FD on eBay for around $699 also much cheaper.)
Motorola has launched their new Moto Z, Moto Z Force, and Moto Mods about a month back and we have finally got our hands on it for an unboxing.
Through our unboxing, we have found the Moto Z and Moto Z Force a force to be reckoned in the Android smartphone market. What’s most interesting about these smartphones isn’t its performance or camera rather its Moto Mods.
Honor 8 may be the ultimate Pokemon Go/Instagram phone that offers premium build, killer camera, and excellent battery life. For those of you looking for a phone with a size around 5.2-inches (size similar to Galaxy S7, S6, and HTC 10), the Honor 8 may just fit the bill.
Probably the feature I love most about this phone so far is the aperture mode that uses two cameras to capture the moment at the widest F0.95 which gives you more bokeh than any other smartphone on the market today. For those of you who post photos on Instagram often, this may be just the phone for you as you can capture professional DSLR-like photos with shallow depth-of-field then post it directly to Instagram instantly.
If you want to protect your brand, new Galaxy Note 7, you may want to consider getting a nice case for it. VRS Design sent us some cases and here’s a quick look.
First, I really dig their Note 7 Crystal Bumper cases, which feature transparent back with nice transparent bumper. I use this primarily as my daily driver on my S7 Edge for many months and it has protected my phone many times from drops.
