New York 4G LTE Speed Test! [AT&T/T-Mobile/Sprint/Verizon]

Here’s a 4G LTE speed test of AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, and Verizon in Manhattan, New York.

If you are thinking about switching carriers, here’s my recommendation and thoughts on the best network in New York City:

T-Mobile – Best overall speeds/value especially if you can get their unlimited plan. I am paying $100/month for 2 lines unlimited.

4G LTE Advanced Speed Test in Thailand!

While most of us in the U.S. are still stuck in ice ages with regular 4G LTE, I found out that through my recent travel to Thailand that they already have 4G LTE Advanced (or 4G LTE+) with coverage pretty much all over the country.  I have tried 4G LTE Advanced a few years back in South Korea where it is also widely spread but it was rather surprise to see it in Thailand as they didn’t even have 4G LTE for the last 4 years I have visited the country.

Best U.S. Carriers for International Travel Data and Voice!

As a person who have traveled to more than 6 different countries in the last 6 months, I can tell you which U.S. carriers are the best for getting data and voice overseas.

Before I begin, I have service on all 4 major U.S. networks including AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Sprint.  I also have an account with Google’s new Project Fi.  Why so many networks?  That’s what I do for a living, test all the networks and find the best for you guys and I am always “high” on Android.

AT&T vs. T-Mobile vs. Sprint vs. Verizon 4G LTE Speed Test!

Here’s another speed test update I did while I was over at my parent’s house in Pleasanton, California.

My current favorite networks:

#1 – T-Mobile – They have done the best of upgrading towers recently. I am getting full 4G LTE in most places in SF Bay Area.  I used to get Edge in my parent’s house, now I get both 4G LTE and HSPA+!

San Francisco 4G LTE Speed Test! [AT&T/T-Mobile/Sprint/Verizon]

Here’s a quick speed test I did at center of San Francisco city inside the Japan Town mall with all 4 U.S. major carriers like AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, and Verizon.

First, I was able to pick up good 4G LTE signals  on AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon while Sprint does not get 4G LTE signals in most areas except downtown and close to highways.

Los Angeles 4G LTE Speed Test! [AT&T/T-Mobile/Sprint/Verizon]

Well, since I am here in Los Angeles for the week, I figure to do a 4G speed test on all U.S. major networks including AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, and Verizon.

Los Angeles gets pretty good 4G LTE coverage for all the four networks, it seems the biggest difference is with the download and upload speeds.

InFlight WiFi Speed Test! [United Airlines]

I don’t travel much, but when I do, I do a speed test.  In my recent travel back from Las Vegas to San Francisco, I was rather surprised to hear that there’s on-board InFlight WiFi service on United Airlines that I was on.

Last time I did a speed test 30,000 feet in the air was back in January 2010 when I was head to Vegas for CES 2010.  Well, I was rather surprised to find out that InFlight WiFi has gotten like 50 times faster than couple years ago.

4G LTE Speed Test in Las Vegas! [AT&T vs. T-Mobile vs. Verizon]

For those of you wondering which network has the fastest 4G LTE in Las Vegas, Nevada, I did a speed test on The Strip to show you which network has the fastest speed.

For this speed test, I chose The Strip as I got full bars on most of the carriers and also a great test location since many of you who visit Vegas will stay there.

Best 3G/HSPA+ Network for Smartphones in Thailand? [True Move/AIS]

Couple weeks ago when I was planning my trip to Thailand, I searched all over the internet  and wondered if I was going to be able to get 3G data working (since Thailand doesn’t have 4G LTE yet) while I stayed for couple weeks.

Well, I’ve been here in Thailand for couple weeks now and I can tell you which network has the best 3G/HSPA+ data.
