For those of you who live in the U.S., did you know it’s illegal in over 50% of the States to have a suction cup phone mount on the windshield of your car? (See my article here for list of illegal States). Cops will probably not pull you over but if they wanted to find a reason, this could be one reason to pull you over. If you like to carry illegal stuff in your car (not that I recommend it), pay attention, I may save you from going to jail. Besides that, having a suction phone mount on your windshield does get in the way of your view.
Are you getting “could not allocate 1778070480 bytes” while flashing the latest Android 5.1 firmware or other versions?
That’s because the latest Android 5.1 firmware comes with system image that’s too big for regular fastboot to handle.
My experience with the Sony FDR-AX33 4K camcorder wasn’t 100% satisfactory so I ordered another camera, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH4. This is a 4K-capable mirrorless DSLR that allows you to use your existing Canon/Nikon DSLR lenses with an adapter. Now, this is touted by many videographers as one of the best 4K DSLR cameras out there. So, I had to try it.
For those of you looking to root your LG G Flex 2, LG G2, LG G3, or other LG devices on Android 5.0.1/5.0.2 Lollipop, we have some good news, WE HAVE ROOT!
For those of you who are looking to get the Android 5.1 today not tomorrow, this tutorial will show you how to update your Nexus 4, 5, 6, 9, or 10 to the latest Android 5.1 and root it.
UPDATE: Also works for Android M Preview but DO NOT install SuperSU as you will soft brick! (Cannot root M Preview atm.)
For those of you looking for a good case that adds additional functionality to your LG G Flex 2, definitely check out the G Flex 2 Circle Case.
This case will replace your existing case on the G Flex 2 and add a protective cover with a circle. Similar to Galaxy series S-View cases, the Circle Case allows you to use your phone without opening/unlocking your phone.
I decided to upgrade my camera gear a bit with some 4K videos. For that, I chose the latest Sony FDR-AX33, which is Sony’s latest 4K camera just released at end of Febuary in 2015. Sony did release a larger FDR-AX100 (which has larger sensor) but the newer FDR-AX33 is a lot more portable plus it has BOSS (Balanced Optical Steady Shot) along with 100Mbps bitrate. Now, for those of you looking for a good 4K camcorder to make 4K videos, this may be one of the best 4K camcorders out right nowt that’s under $1000.
I know I made this website to be about Android but I have a ton of passion for making videos and video equipment. Plus, if you want to take videos that you can’t really make with an Android device, this could be very useful.
For example, I love my Note 4 camera and its camera abilities but if I wanted to make home videos of my daughter skateboarding (and me following her) without my Note 4 shaking on me, I really couldn’t as smartphone video recording technology is simply not there yet. One day I will definitely make videos with my Android smartphones only but until then, I use other gear that make my videos as best as possible.
When I first heard about the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, I was totally excited and got to see first-hand some of the new performance improvements over at CES 2015.
Well, it’s been 3 months since CES and LG has finally released the LG G Flex 2 in South Korea. Without delay, I had to get one since I love getting high on Android. After using it for almost 2 weeks now, I think I can give you a full review, let’s go do this baby, UGH!
