Last week someone asked me about a magnetic smartphone mount and I have been using the WizGear Vent Mount. This is a magnetic smartphone mount you can mount on your car’s air conditioning vent. It comes with 2 adhesive plates that can be attached to back of any smartphone along with an extra non-adhesive plate that you can place inside your smartphone case. I prefer the non-adhesive method since I switch phones often.
Couple month back I made my own DIY Wireless Car Mount which worked quite well for me. Recently I found a new product that you can buy called iOttie Easy OneTouch Wireless Qi Car Mount. Upon trying it, I am happy to recommend it to anyone who has recently bought a Galaxy S6/S6 Edge or any other smartphone with wireless charging capability.
For those of you who commute to work daily or perhaps you drive often in general, you may want to consider setting up a Qi wireless charging car mount so you can have your Android smartphone charging wirelessly as soon as you step into your car.
For those of you who live in the U.S., did you know it’s illegal in over 50% of the States to have a suction cup phone mount on the windshield of your car? (See my article here for list of illegal States). Cops will probably not pull you over but if they wanted to find a reason, this could be one reason to pull you over. If you like to carry illegal stuff in your car (not that I recommend it), pay attention, I may save you from going to jail. Besides that, having a suction phone mount on your windshield does get in the way of your view.
