Syberia ROM! – Best Custom ROM for OnePlus 6!

Syberia ROM is definitely one of the best custom ROMs I have tried on my OnePlus 6 after countless flashing of more than a dozen ROMs. Performance is excellent along with great, long battery life.

For cameras, you can install the official OnePlus camera APK to get the native OnePlus camera working. Everything works except slow motion which you can substitute with the Google Camera and slow motion works great with Google Camera. Also you can take full advantage of Google Camera’s NightSight.

Syberia ROM comes with a full set of customization options through its “Syberia Settings”, that will allow you to get much more out of your OnePlus 6 than stock Oxygen OS. Syberia ROM has full customization for your lockscreen including charging status that shows exact voltage and current values, which can be great to check for DASH charge on the OnePlus 6. Also, you can go ahead and add cool stuff like current weather status in your city along with music visualizer. For full demo of all the features, please watch the video overview above.

For root, you can go ahead and use latest Magisk, which works 100% flawless with SafetyNet passing, no problems watching Netflix here.

Also, sound is great, many other custom ROMs have low sound bug but Syberia ROM has it fixed.

File needed:

Latest OnePlus 6 firmware – Download official firmware from OnePlus website here.(I used 9.0.6)

Syberia ROM – DownloadXDA Link

The version I used is an older version 2.7, if you have trouble with newer version, try the older version here.

Android 9.0 Gapps – OpenGapps.org

Magisk – Download Magisk ZIP Installer

OnePlus Camera APK – Download

Google Camera APK – Download

(Set Google Camera settings to “Nexus 6P” for best results)

For proper installation with fully working video camera and speakers, make sure to use TWRP to install the lastest firmware, then wipe Dalvik cache, then install the ROM then boot.  DO NOT INSTALL TWRP installer until the first boot otherwise you will end up in a bootloop.   You will also need fastboot.zip and your computer to re-install TWRP after the first boot then you can install Gapps, Magisk, and TWRP installer.

Get fastboot.zipDownload

Grab TWRP image and installer at TWRP.me.
