Galaxy S3 GT-i9300 vs. Galaxy S3 T999! [Exynos vs. Qualcomm]

Here’s benchmarking test between the Galaxy S3 GT-i9300 with Exynos 1.4Ghz Quad-core processor vs. Galaxy S3 T999 Qualcomm S4 1.5Ghz Dual-core processor.

As expected, Qualcomm S4 gives near identical results to AT&T One X (which has Qualcomm S4) also but extra gig of memory seems to help just a tad, not much though.

Sprint/AT&T/Verizon Galaxy S3 results should be near identical to the T999 also as they share the identical hardware specs.

But does that mean U.S. versions of Galaxy S3 are going to be slower than international versions?

No, don’t get the benchmarks upset you in any ways, these are purely “benchmarks” and only show what the hardware is capable of. The real comparison comes with real-life testing in real situations and based in my opinion, this isn’t going to affect most users as both processors are plenty-capable of yesteryear’s smartphones.

I am trying to figure out whether to get the ATT or International version of S3.
Main thing I am considering is LTE vs the hsdpa+ for sip.
Is LTE better for a sip client connecting to PBX or are they the same? Are ATT and other companies throttling and/or blocking the sip protocol?

For anything requiring reliable connection such as ssh u don’t want hspa+ as it will jump back and forth between hspa and 3g. Ive tested this i cannot use ssh on hspa+ reliably hope that helps.

Thanks for the response. I have definitely seen the jump back and forth on my S2 between 3G and hspa+. Since I do not have an LTE phone, in a similar environment, is there any movement from LTE to 3G? I would assume if hspa+ drops to 3G, the LTE would drop as well.

Have you tried connecting a sip client on an android phone running on LTE?

I broke the glass (yes gorilla glass breaks) on my Sprint version Galaxy S3. People are recommending buying the LCD/Digitizer assembly with the frame since it’s an easier swap. My question is the Frame from a i9300 same as mine (SPH-710)? Thanks.

    Where are the benchmarks?

    Here’s an idea:
“Lets write up an article to draw people to our website. Here’s the trick though, we’ll claim that we’ll do a bunch of benchmarks and make it sound like something people need to know about, but we won’t post the results and in the end we’ll tell them all it doesn’t really matter.”

    Hi, I have a T-Mobile’s SGH-T999 variant of Samsung Galaxy S3.
I was getting a decent battery life while on T-Mobile network in US.

I recently moved to India, got the unlock code from T-Mobile and now using it on Airtel network. I now notice that I get significantly less battery life, it barely lasts half a day with same usage style. I also notice that at times Phone takes larger percentage if not equal to the screen, which seems unusual.
I have power-cycled my phone several times but does not seem to help.

Is this a known issue ? Any fixes ?

    Appreciate your response and help.
