Finally, I got hands on my new Samsung Galaxy S4 Android smartphone and here’s Galaxy S4 unboxing video!

The Galaxy S4 ships with either Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 1.9Ghz or Samsung Exynos Octa-core 1.6Ghz processor, 2GB of DDR3 memory, 5-inch full 1080P HD 1920×1080 screen with Gorilla Glass 3, 16/32/64GB internal storage, external microSD slot, removable battery, 13.2 megapixel back camera, 2.1 megapixel front camera, 2600mAh battery, Android 4.2.2, and sized at 136.6 x 69.8 x 7.9mm, and weight 130 grams.

As far as CPU and memory goes, Galaxy S4 probably has the best specs on market “right now” (HTC One has same processor but 2GB of DDR2 memory, much slower memory). The new 1080P HD screen on the Galaxy S4 is also crisp and clear with Gorilla Glass 3, which is 3 times stronger than Gorilla Glass 2 (HTC One has Gorilla Glass 2).

As for storage, you have option of getting 16, 32, or 64GB of internal storage, now you can extend that by additional 64GB with an external microSD card easily.

Battery has been upgraded from last year’s Galaxy S3 from 2100mAh to 2600mAh.

Best of all, Galaxy S4 ships with latest Android 4.2.2 (while HTC One ships with last year’s Android 4.1.2), you will not be complaining about upgrades for awhile.

Overall, my first impression on the Galaxy S4 is indeed impressive with a lot of new, cool features like Air Gestures, Air View, and even an infrared sensor for controlling your TV.
I do like the fact that the Galaxy S4 actually got thinner and lighter while packing even more hardware than last year.

Certainly, this is a pretty nice 1080P HD smartphone with lots of hardware/software features you won’t regret about later.

As for build and feel?

I have no idea where these people (who haven’t actually tried the phone in real life) think that the Galaxy S4 is cheap and plastic.  But after trying the phone myself, it feels solid in my hands, no funny plastic feel at all.

I should have a full review of the Galaxy S4 later down the line but my initial thoughts on the Galaxy S4?  It is definitely a winner in my mind, it’s the “next big thing” and you can’t go wrong with it.

What’s really cool? Smart Scroll eye-tracking feature, it really works!

Here’s a demo of dual-mode camera in 1080P HD:

And also front-facing camera in 1080P HD:

You can also stream wirelessly in full 1080P HD videos to any smart TV using DLNA technology! (A great way to hijack your friend’s TV.)

UPDATE: I just found another feature that allows you to use another Galaxy S4 as wireless, remote viewfinder for your camera!
