Galaxy S7 vs Nexus 6P Low Light Camera Comparison!

Perhaps the best low-light camera on a smartphone before the Galaxy S7 launch was the Nexus 6P, which boasts a whopping 1.55 microns sensor size to give you excellent details in low light.  In this test, we took up the Galaxy S7 versus the Nexus 6P, comparing both videos and photos to see which one had better low light performance.

The verdict?

The Galaxy S7 clearly did better with 4K video recording in low light but the Nexus 6P kept up very well in still photography.  In fact, there was no difference between the photos with the naked eye in low light photo test.  The only minor difference you could tell was when zoomed in 10X, the S7 kept more of the details while the 6P seems to reduce the noise, which are just different ways of processing the raw photos in camera.

Overall, the Galaxy S7 and Nexus 6P are equal in terms of low-light still photography while the S7 wins out in better videos.
