How to Remove/Fix 60% Battery Limit on Galaxy Note 7!

(Above is my Note 7 fully charged to 100% and with green icon, this is an ORIGINAL Note 7, not the second edition.)

For those of you STILL using the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, we highly recommend you to return it to Samsung or local carrier.  But there are instances like where you may not be able to get your full money back.  I bought my international Galaxy Note 7 on eBay and could not get my money back as it was over 30-days for the return period plus eBay doesn’t have policies protecting Galaxy Note 7 buyers.  You may be in the same boat where you acquired the Note 7 overseas and it may mean you are stuck with the phone.

Now, with latest Samsung firmware updates on the Note 7, it will limit your battery recharging rates to a maximum of 60%, rendering your phone a lot less useful.  Well, if you have an international model such as the SM-N930F or SM-N930FD, you can easily install a custom ROM to bypass these restrictions.  Using the Hydra ROM, I was able to get both green battery icon along with ability to recharge my Note 7 to full 100%.

While it is not recommended to use the Note 7 at all but if you are in a dire situation as me, you can use this custom ROM to get 100% functionality back on your Note 7 and this will give you cool goodies like AdAway app, Magisk root, Superuser, and much more.

Disclaimer: You are responsible for your own actions, by watching/following these instructions, you agree that YOU will be responsible for any fires/damages caused from a blown Note 7.  These instructions are provided for entertainment/informational purposes ONLY, we DO NOT recommend you to use the Note 7!!!
