Here’s my first impressions of the new LG G7 ThinQ, I had some hands-on time at the LG G7 event in San Francisco. I’ve also included camera low-light test vs. Galaxy S9+ and Pixel 2 XL, 1000-nit brightness test, Boombox speaker test, demo of how to remove/hide the notch, and comparison vs. Galaxy S9+.
Galaxy S9 Plus? Is it the absolutely the best smartphone out in 2018? In terms of overall performance/value, I would like to say so. The Galaxy S9 Plus is Samsung’s latest flagship featuring Snapdragon 845 (or Exynos 9810) processor, 6.2 inch 1440P AMOLED curved screen, 6GB of RAM, 64/128/256GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 12MP F1.5/F2.4 dual back cameras, 8MP F1.7 front camera, stereo speakers, and Iris/Fingerprint/Face scanners for security. Packing a ton of features(as usual), Samsung has launched a beastly smartphone that may well be its best so far.
Probably the biggest smartphone launch worth mentioning at MWC 2017 is LG’s latest LG G6, which is an extra-wide screen smartphone with an aspect ratio of 18:9. While Samsung has decided to skip MWC for their Galaxy S8 launch, LG has pushed through with their latest and best smartphone that may help them grab the top position for smartphone king.
Pixel? How many pixels does this phone have?
The Google Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones are Google’s first attempt at a premium flagship, Google has even changed its name from Nexus to Pixel, clearly distinguishing its new line of smartphones. Both Pixel & Pixel XL feature 12.3MP back camera, 8MP front camera, back fingerprint sensor, Qualcomm Snapdragon 821, 4gigs of RAM, USB Type C, 3.5mm headphone jack, storage of 32GB or 128GB, and virtual reality through its new Daydream VR headset. The only real difference between Pixel and Pixel XL are its display sizes and battery capacity. The Pixel has 5-inch 1080P vs. Pixel XL’s 5.5-inch 1440P and Pixel’s 2770mAh vs. XL’s 3450mAh battery size.
In this review of LG V20, we will be comparing its core features against other flagships like the Pixel XL, S7 Edge, Nexus 6P, and Note 5.
