How to Film Professional Videos w/ Android Smartphone! [Part II]

In my first article about How to Film Professional Videos w/ Android Smartphone, we covered the basic of using a tripod, fluid-head, and using the LG V20 manual video mode to get professional quality videos from a smartphone.  In this part II, we go in more depth by taking our smartphone out in the field with the latest LG V40, which has a ton of improvements over the V20.  Of course, you do NOT need an LG V40 but preferably a phone that has good video quality such as the Galaxy Note 9, Galaxy S9/S8, or even Xiaomi Mi8 or Pocophone would work.

Tip 1 – If your smartphone has EIS, TURN IT OFF!

LG V40 4K Cinematic Camera Test! [AMAZING Wide-Angle/Telephoto]

In this video, I take the LG V40’s 3 back cameras to the edge of the world to test out its normal, wide-angle, and telephoto cameras. It turns out the wide-angle and telephoto cameras can be VERY USEFUL in situations like mine at the edge of a cliff. Enjoy and don’t forget to hit the thumbs up/subscribe if you enjoy the video, thx! NOTE: Please watch in 1440P or 4K if possible, YouTube rendering is horrible and you may otherwise see artifacts(that I don’t see in my original video).

LG V40 Low Light 4K Camera Demo!

Here’s a quick video I put together using LG V40 camera in 4K!  Now, because a lot of the shots were in super low-light, I did have to apply some noise-reduction in post using Neat Video but still, you can get some decent shots with the LG V40 in low-light using the manual video mode and noise-reduction processing.

LG V40 Unboxing & First Look!

About a week back, LG invited me to their event in San Francisco for LG V40 unboxing and first look at their latest flagship.  The LG V40 is the world’s first smartphone with 5 cameras(each with a different angle) featuring normal, wide-angle, and 2X telephoto camera on the back along with normal and wide-angle cameras on the front.  We have reached an era where more cameras may help consumers ditch their heavy DSLR/mirrorless cameras.

Xiaomi Pocophone F1 Unboxing! – $300 Phone Worth It?

Here’s Xiaomi Pocophone F1 Unboxing!  Xiaomi has launched a $300 Android smartphone with latest Snapdragon 845 processor(just like found on latest Galaxy S9/Note 9/LG G7) witth 6.18-inch 1080P screen(2246×1080 resolution), 6 or 8GB of RAM, 64/128/256GB of storage, 12MP + 5MP back cameras, 20MP front camera(same as Mi8), 4000mAh battery, microSD card slot, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.  For what Xiaomi is offering, this may be the deal of the century on a smartphone that has flagship-like specs at budget prices.

Xiaomi Mi8 Review! – Best Budget Smartphone I Ever Bought, WOW!

Here’s my full review of the Xiaomi Mi8. In my opinion, this is the best budget smartphone I have ever bought and perhaps the best smartphone under $450. It’s got the latest Snapdragon 845 processor, 6GB of RAM(or 8GB if you go for the 128GB model), 6.21-inch Super AMOLED screen(that’s bright as any Samsung/LG), fast performance, dual-SIM, and have killer camera(keeps up to Pixel 2 in both daylight/low-light).  If you want to save a few bucks this year on a smartphone that pretty much does everything a flagship does, this is it!  Of course, Pocophone could be even better, I should have full unboxing/review of that also.
