How to Film Professional Videos w/ Android Smartphone! [Part II]

In my first article about How to Film Professional Videos w/ Android Smartphone, we covered the basic of using a tripod, fluid-head, and using the LG V20 manual video mode to get professional quality videos from a smartphone.  In this part II, we go in more depth by taking our smartphone out in the field with the latest LG V40, which has a ton of improvements over the V20.  Of course, you do NOT need an LG V40 but preferably a phone that has good video quality such as the Galaxy Note 9, Galaxy S9/S8, or even Xiaomi Mi8 or Pocophone would work.

Tip 1 – If your smartphone has EIS, TURN IT OFF!

In this video, I show you how to make DIY dome glass tempered glass for your Samsung Galaxy S9, S9 Plus, Note 8, S8, S8 Plus, and you can also use this method on pretty much any smartphone to apply loca glue with tempered glass so your touch sensitivity and glare stays the same as if you didn’t have tempered glass on.  I got this idea from the Dome Glass screen protector, which is good but I thought you could just do it yourself and save some money, especially if you have more than one phone.

If you want to make a high quality 4K timelapse on your Android smartphone, you will definitely want to use the Camera FV-5 as it comes with intervalometer (that automatically takes photos for the interval you set).  There are apps that make timelapse videos for you but the quality you get out of them will be nowhere near doing it this way by taking our photos then post-process them with desktop software Adobe Effects.  And if your Android smartphone supports RAW images (like LG G4, OnePlus One, Nexus 5/6), you will have more control over your images in your final edit, even remove noise from low-light shots.

For those of you wondering if OnePlus One tablet will be ever made, no worries, we’ve got it already covered and you can easily make a OnePlus One tablet if you have any Android tablet with CM11 ROM installed along with HighOnAndroid OnePlus One Conversion kit.  In our last tutorial, we showed you how to turn your Android smartphone into a OnePlus One.  Well, it turns out that method also works flawless on various different Android tablets including the original Nexus 7, Nexus 7 2013 Edition, Nexus 10 (everything except lockscreen works), Note 10.1, and probably will work on your Android tablet so long as you have CM11 ROM running (just flash our kit!)
