Galaxy S9 vs. LG G7 vs. Pixel 2 vs. OnePlus 6 vs. Mi 8 [Portrait Selfie Camera Comparison]

In this camera comparison, we compare the portrait mode of the front camera of Samsung Galaxy S9 vs. LG G7 vs. Pixel 2 vs. OnePlus 6 vs. Xiaomi Mi 8.  For this test, we are comparing which phone does the best in terms of mirroring a real DSLR, specifically looking for the camera with better subject separation from the background, background blurring, and also image quality.  Now, this test was done on a pretty bright but cloudy day in good lighting conditions.  In low-light conditions, the results may differ vastly as the more expensive phones have better low-light performance.  We will do another comparison for low-light but this comparison is for those of you who take lots of selfies in good lighting conditions.

OnePlus 6 Unboxing & Review Quickie!

This is unboxing of the all-new OnePlus 6 smartphone & review quickie after using it for about 24-hours.  The OnePlus 6 comes with latest Snapdragon 845 processor, 6 or 8GB of RAM, 64 to 256GB of storage, 6.28-inch AMOLED screen w/ 19:9 ratio, and dual SIM sluts.  After fondling with the new OnePlus 6 for about a day, I think I may have found a great smartphone I can recommend for under $600 that is not a Samsung or LG.

How to Install Pixel 2 Portrait Mode(Back/Front WORKING) on Any Galaxy Phone!

For those of you who want to get Google Pixel 2’s portrait mode on your Galaxy phone(supports all Galaxy phones including Galaxy S9+, S9, Note 8, S8, S8 Plus, S7, S7 Edge, S6, S6 Edge, etc…etc… running Android 7.0 Nougat or 8.0 Oreo), you can now easily get it without having to buy the Pixel 2.  While newer Samsung phones like S9+ and Note 8 have live focus feature, Google’s HDR camera does much better job with portrait mode allowing you to be also much closer to your subject.  Best of all, you also get front portrait mode working, which I think is the coolest feature.
