Here are a few things YOU MUST KNOW before buying the OnePlus 6T. First, OnePlus 6T is going to be available from T-Mobile starting on November 1st 2018 in all T-Mobile stores in America. Now, the T-Mobile version of OnePlus 6T is slightly different from the fully-unlocked version that OnePlus sells in their online store, that it has single SIM instead of dual SIM. Also, if you need to unlock the bootloader and you are on a payment plan, you will actually have to pay off your ETF AND fill out a form AND wait for permission from T-Mobile to unlock the bootloader, which is a lot of hoops you have to jump through never mind headache and hassel. Now, you can just simply buy the fully unlocked dual-SIM version from OnePlus website and enjoy dual SIM along with freedom to unlock your bootloader any time you want, and it does not even void the warranty. (That’s right, you don’t void warranty from OnePlus but the T-Mobile version might.)
OnePlus 6T will also support Verizon’s 4G LTE network meaning now Verizon users can buy the unlocked version of OnePlus 6T and enjoy it on their CDMA network. This will be the first dual-SIM smartphone that supports both GSM and CDMA, meaning you can potentially use T-Mobile 4G LTE and Verizon 4G LTE at the same time, which I will have a video review of.
Should you buy OnePlus 6T or OnePlus 6? What’s the difference?
The only real difference between the OnePlus 6T and OnePlus 6 is that the 6T has tiny bit bigger screen with much smaller tear-drop notch, bigger battery, no headphone jack, and an in-display fingerprint sensor(instead of back fingerprint sensor). If you don’t need the smaller notch, bigger battery, and would prefer headphone jack with a rear fingerprint sensor, you may want to opt for the OnePlus 6, which is nearly identical otherwise in CPU performance, camera, and speakers.
