I have been patiently waiting for a good deal on the international model of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 for few months now since Note 8 launch since it offers the better Exynos 8895 processor along with unlocked bootloader, meaning you can easily root and install custom ROMs. Well, around Black Friday I was able to pick up the SM-N950F/DS dual-SIM international model for about $779. (The price is even lower now at $739, check here) Certainly, this is a steal considering most U.S. retailers selling them at $950 or higher.
The Exynos international version is compatible with all GSM networks including AT&T and T-Mobile so if you are not on Sprint or Verizon, this may be the ultimate Note 8 you can pick up. I also picked up the gold color, which I didn’t expect to be that nice but I really like it now as the borders are also in gold color along with a gold S-Pen.
I should have a benchmark comparison soon showing the performance differences between the U.S. Snapdragon model vs. international Exynos model so stay tuned for that.
