For People High On Android
For those of you who want to run your favorite apps in Phone mode or Tablet mode (such as Netflix shown above running in tablet mode with a Galaxy S3), scale fonts, keep screen ON, or even change language on “app basis”, you can do it easily on “any” rooted Android smartphone or tablet device running Android 4.0.3 or higher. Best Android smartphone of the year 2012?
LG Optimus G was just announced earlier this week with a Qualcomm S4 Pro Quad-core 1.5Ghz processor, 8.45mm thick, 2100mAh battery, and 13-megapixel camera. Too bad LG is rarely seen on U.S. carriers much and I doubt they will make it to more than one U.S. carrier. This could be a great phone but LG still needs to step up in the areas of customer support, marketing, etc…etc… I will not buy an LG phone until they make their international support centers better.
Although I didn’t go to Google IO this year (I probably never will as I don’t like going to shows anymore), I had the chance to “de-virginize” a brand, spanking new Nexus 7 Android tablet on the day it was released thanks to CruzerLite CEO Joel, who allowed me to do the unboxing. (Thanks a ton Joel!)
HTC One X is a pretty darn good phone, the fastest Android smartphone (as of this video) with a quad-core Tegra 3 (or dual-core Qualcomm S4 for U.S. versions).
I just got the Kindle Fire and love it. It’s great device for $199. Certainly not a Galaxy Tab 10.1 nor does it come with camera and GPS but for those of you who want a tablet device for watching movies and light-browsing, the Kindle Fire will do the job.
AT&T’s Galaxy S2 Android smartphone is nearly identical to the “first” international version, which I tried months ago when it first came out except the edges are bit more polished and there are four capacitative menu buttons at the bottom instead of just three.
Best Display on Market – AMOLED 4.3″ ScreenNexus Prime launch date? Although it’s not official by any means, insider sources say that it will be November 3rd.
