Android 11 on Galaxy S9 Review!

After 4 days of quarantine, I was finally able to get Android 11 GSI working fully on my Samsung Galaxy S9. Here’s a quick review of Android 11 running on my Galaxy S9, it runs nearly flawless. Calls work great, 4G LTE signal/WiFi works great, bluetooth works great, brightness works great, stereo speakers work good. The only problem I am currently having is trying to replace the Phhusson’s Android 11 GSI Superuser with Magisk but I am building his GSI from sources and should have one that’s compatible with Magisk soon.

Performance is excellent with Android 11 as my Galaxy S9 gets almost near 700 scores for single core on Geekbench 5, which is nearly same performance as Galaxy S10 running on Android 10 Samsung One UI. You can expect much faster performance with Android 11 GSI as it strips out bloated Samsung One UI and replaces with pure stock Android. Battery life should also be much better because Android 11’s focus is on improving battery life drastically.

Since Samsung probably won’t update the Galaxy S9 anymore with Android 11, this is going to be an awesome way to upgrade/update your older S9 with latest Android software, thanks for GSI.

If you don’t know what GSI(Generic System Image) is, please watch my video here.

I should have a full tutorial guide on how to install Android 11 on Galaxy S9, S10, S20, and Note 20, so subscribe and stay tuned!
