Couple days back, YouTube announced its support for 360 degree videos, which means YouTube users can now upload 360 degree videos and viewers can view the video on their Android device in full 360 degrees. Well, like I promised, I ordered the Kodak SP 360 camera, which is one of the two camera available today for consumers to make their own 360 degree videos.
For those of you who live in the U.S., did you know it’s illegal in over 50% of the States to have a suction cup phone mount on the windshield of your car? (See my article here for list of illegal States). Cops will probably not pull you over but if they wanted to find a reason, this could be one reason to pull you over. If you like to carry illegal stuff in your car (not that I recommend it), pay attention, I may save you from going to jail. Besides that, having a suction phone mount on your windshield does get in the way of your view.
Are you getting “could not allocate 1778070480 bytes” while flashing the latest Android 5.1 firmware or other versions?
My experience with the Sony FDR-AX33 4K camcorder wasn’t 100% satisfactory so I ordered another camera, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH4. This is a 4K-capable mirrorless DSLR that allows you to use your existing Canon/Nikon DSLR lenses with an adapter. Now, this is touted by many videographers as one of the best 4K DSLR cameras out there. So, I had to try it.
For those of you who are looking to get the Android 5.1 today not tomorrow, this tutorial will show you how to update your Nexus 4, 5, 6, 9, or 10 to the latest Android 5.1 and root it.
I decided to upgrade my camera gear a bit with some 4K videos. For that, I chose the latest Sony FDR-AX33, which is Sony’s latest 4K camera just released at end of Febuary in 2015. Sony did release a larger FDR-AX100 (which has larger sensor) but the newer FDR-AX33 is a lot more portable plus it has BOSS (Balanced Optical Steady Shot) along with 100Mbps bitrate. Now, for those of you looking for a good 4K camcorder to make 4K videos, this may be one of the best 4K camcorders out right nowt that’s under $1000.
