If you mess up a step while rooting your Galaxy S9 or S9 Plus or maybe you just want to go back to stock firmware, you can easily do it using ODIN and stock firmware files. Btw, process is identical for all Galaxy smartphones except the firmware file is different.

For those of you who have rooted your Samsung Galaxy S9 or S9 Plus using our root guide, you may have rooted with the SuperSU app as Magisk was not compatible with Galaxy S9 or S9 Plus. Well, there is a modified version of Magisk that you can use now which is 100% compatible. If you have not yet rooted your Samsung Galaxy S9 or S9 Plus, you can follow our existing root guide here but simply use the new modified Magisk instead of SuperSU and you will have Magisk root instead of SuperSU on your Galaxy S9 or S9 Plus.
On my recent trip to Hawaii, I broke two of my smartphones while using them in sea salt water to take videos of corals while snorkeling, I broke my Galaxy S9 Plus and my Pixel 2 XL. In this video, I show you what happens if your smartphone seal breaks in sea salt water and also how to minimize damage from salt water corrosion by disassembling both my S9 Plus and Pixel 2 XL. I’ve taken all my waterproof phones(with IP67 or IP68 rating) diving in swimming pools and even in 100+ degree temp spa many times but I have NEVER actually broken a smartphone from water until last week.
For those of you who want to convert your Galaxy S7/S7 Edge or S8/S8 Plus into Galaxy S9 with latest Android 8.0 Oreo, you can do it with the Galaxy S9 ROM called “Sac23 S9 Ported ROM”. XDA user Sac23 has fully ported Galaxy S9 firmware to the Galaxy S7/S7 Edge and Galaxy S8/S8 Plus. Apart from any features that require hardware from the S9, you will be able to fully enjoy S9 software on your S7/S7 Edge or S8/S8 Plus. This is Android 8.0 Oreo ROM with the latest Samsung Experience 9.0.
Here’s an underwater snorkeling test with the LG G6. Yes IP68 rating is good enough to snorkel with it in sea salt water, just keep your phone no more than 5 feet underwater and you should be fine. Also rinse your phone off with fresh water after as salt left on the phone can make your seals degrade if you leave it. This isn’t my first time snorkeling with a waterproof phone, I used Galaxy S5 a few years back in Thailand, the phone still works even years later and still waterproof, you can check it out here.
In this 4K camera test, I used the Samsung Galaxy S9+ for all shots except for airborne shots which I used the DJI Mavic Pro. I felt like this is very good combination for those of you who want to take some 4K videos on the go. Although I do have nicer cameras like the GH5 and A7rii, I wanted to see if I can get some high-quality shots with my smartphone. I also used the DJI Osmo Mobile gimbal to stabilize the Galaxy S9+, which comes in very handy also.
The Nuu G3 comes with a 5.7-inch 18:9 aspect ratio screen with resolution of 1440×720, the screen is bright and you will not have problems with it using in the sun. On the back you will find a dual camera setup with a 13MP main camera and 5MP secondary camera, used primarily for portrait mode. As for the processor, the G3 is equipped with MediaTek 2.3Ghz Octa-core processor along with 4gigs of RAM and 64 gigs of storage. Also you will find dual SIM slots, which you can use for dual SIMs or one single SIM and microSD card.Design & Feel
In this video, I show you how to make DIY dome glass tempered glass for your Samsung Galaxy S9, S9 Plus, Note 8, S8, S8 Plus, and you can also use this method on pretty much any smartphone to apply loca glue with tempered glass so your touch sensitivity and glare stays the same as if you didn’t have tempered glass on. I got this idea from the Dome Glass screen protector, which is good but I thought you could just do it yourself and save some money, especially if you have more than one phone.
For those of you thinking about buying a tempered glass protector for your Samsung Galaxy curved-screen phone like the Galaxy S9, S9 Plus, Note 8, S8, or S8 Plus, you may want to know a few things before getting one. Now, many of tempered glass being sold on Amazon (or retail stores) currently are pretty much the same, just branded differently. Since my last DO NOT BUY REVIEW on tempered glass for Galaxy S7 Edge, tempered glass have evolved and they are very, very easy to install these days. Most of these new tempered glass come with an installation kit that allows you to easily install them within minutes.
Here’s my first impressions of the new LG G7 ThinQ, I had some hands-on time at the LG G7 event in San Francisco. I’ve also included camera low-light test vs. Galaxy S9+ and Pixel 2 XL, 1000-nit brightness test, Boombox speaker test, demo of how to remove/hide the notch, and comparison vs. Galaxy S9+.
