Okay, guys so I have to admit that I wrote the whole script for the OnePlus Two two weeks back but since I got the Moto X Pure and a bunch of new phones came out, it got delayed plus my thoughts on this phone changed drastically due to lots more phones coming at near the same price as the OnePlus Two. When I first got the OnePlus Two few weeks back, it was undeniably the best smartphone you could buy under $400. Well, fast forward a few weeks and the smartphone world has changed a LOT.
LG V10 has been announced and is it better than the Galaxy Note 5? Let’s find out!
First, LG V10 and Note 5 both have 1440P screens. While the LG V10 has IPS LCD, the Note 5 has AMOLED screen. Of course, don’t forget LG V10 comes with a secondary screen on top of the phone while the Note 5 comes with a pressure-sensitive screen that allows for super accurate writing/drawing with its S-Pen. In terms of what you get, notifications/shortcuts versus life-like notebook, the Note 5 certainly wins in the display category nevermind AMOLED screens are about 20-30% brighter than IPS LCD.
So, you are wondering whether to buy the LG V10 or the Nexus 6P?
First, LG V10 and Nexus 6P both feature 5.7-inch 1440P screen. While the LG V10 features IPS LCD, the Nexus 6P features AMOLED screen. The screen on AMOLED screens are brighter than IPS but for normal usage, both should be pretty good for vibrance, contrast, and clarity. The LG V10 has a secondary screen on top of the main screen for notifications and shortcuts which is similar to the one found on S6 Edge Plus. For the screen, I would have to call it a draw between these two bad boys since one is brighter and the other has a “mini-Me” screen.
4 years ago, Samsung launched the first big smartphone with its first Galaxy Note Android smartphone. At the time, no one knew that phablets like the Galaxy Note would become popular. In fact, most media outlets called it a ridiculously large phone that’s not going to fit in your pocket. Well, fast forward to 2015 and everyone is using a large phone these days. Even Apple introduced their iPhone 6 Plus to satisfy the people’s urge to use large smartphones. Phablets are like the SUVs of cars and if you want the best SUV, the Galaxy Note 5 is really the best you can buy right now.
So, I took my Galaxy Note 5 and my new Edelkrone Slider Plus to test out the full 4K abilities of my new phone. Overall, I am pretty satisfied but there are moments where the Note 5’s auto mode changed the exposure during sliding shots. I feel like there should be manual control to the video recording mode, which could give the camera much more control and end up with better quality videos.
Huawei announced the Huawei watch yesterday, this new fully circular watch comes with a whopping 400×400 pixel display (286ppi) and a choice of stainless steel in silver/black, and leather. Oh yeah, Android Wear now can be used with iOS users, so for all you iWhores, you will be able to use any Android Wear watch such as the Huawei watch with your iPorn. I am actually rather impressed at Huawei for making such a beautiful watch, I think it’s 10 times better than the new Moto 360 2nd generation, which looks nearly identical to its predecessor with a painstakingly ugly flat tire, slight bump in display resolution and faster processor, meh.

Let me go into what’s on my phone this week and talk about some of the apps I am using this week. This week, I have both the Android Wear and Samsung Gear apps installed for my LG Urbane watch and Gear S watch. Android Wear app doesn’t let you pair more than one watch at a time but if you have an Android Wear watch and Samsung watch, you will be able to use two watches simultaneously. I find this part kinda odd, I wish Android Wear allows you to pair multiple watches and I am sure those of you super high on Android would like to wear different watches for different outfits.
